How Does Double Vision Therapy Work?
Double vision is an eye issue that afflicts many people and can be corrected with double vision therapy. This video will provide an overview of double vision and what vision therapy can do to help.
Double vision will cause your eyes to produce a double image – either up and down or side to side. The degree to which the image overlaps varies and can get to the point where a person sees two wholly separate images of one thing that aren’t overlapping.
These images can move around or appear hazy to the person viewing them. This is incredibly distracting and can lead to difficulty going about everyday life. Think of reading, driving, or going up and down your stairs. Double vision can inhibit all of these activities.
Double vision can be caused by various diseases or injuries. Parkinson’s disease is one example. A stroke may also cause double vision. So can high blood pressure, a brain tumor, cataracts, or another traumatic brain injury.
An eye doctor can evaluate you and diagnose the issue. They may be able to take care of it for you, or they may send you to a specialist. They will use various therapies to train your brain to work the eyes as a team.
